The most important part of every Greek city was the Acropolis. In the Acropolis was found the town's major temple dedicated to the patron god of the city. Also, the seat of government was found in the Acropolis. The Acropolis would be surrounded by high city walls and usually placed on a hill to avoid being captured. It is like the castle from Feudalism because both cultures participated in seige warfare.
