Abu Simbel is one of the most famous Egyptian monuments outside of the Pyramids.
This monument was created by Ramesis II, or Ramesis the Great. Ironically,
it was not found in Egypt. It was created to let the tribes in the south know
who was in charge in Africa. The other amazing fact about this monument was
dedicated to Ramesis' wife Nefertari. Never, was this done by a Pharoah.
